ELKHART — No one was injured, but a garage was destroyed in a fire on the south side of Elkhart late Tuesday night.

Firefighters responded to a fire at 1721 Frances Ave. at 11:37 p.m. and found fire visibly burning through the roof of the detached garage upon arrival. Firefighters had the fire under control in less than 15 minutes.

Fire officials determined that the fire originated on the roof of the garage, but the cause of the fire is under investigation.
