SHIPSHEWANA — Ernest J. Miller, 93, died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in his residence.

He was born March 20, 1919, to Irwin J. and Mabel (Yoder) Miller in LaGrange. He married Ruth Kathryn Mishler on Sept. 28, 1940, in Shipshewana. She died April 24, 2011.

Surviving are sons Dewayne J. (Linda) Miller of Middlebury and Gerald Keith Miller; daughter-in-law Marilyn Miller of Goshen; siblings Waneta Miller and James (Barbara) Miller, both of Shipshewana, Sue Ann Byler and Kenneth (Bertha) Miller, both of Goshen, Joann Buerge of Indianapolis, Betty (Vernon) Roth, and Richard Miller; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by children Franklin J. Miller, Ralph Edward Miller, Dennis Kalb Miller and Jennifer Kay Miller; and stepmother Mildred (Yoder) Miller.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, and from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Shore Mennonite Church, 7235 W. 100 N., Shipshewana, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Memorials may be given to MCC Relief.
