MISHAWAKA — Brent Charles “Woody” Woodworth, 51, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.

Brent was born Feb. 16, 1962, in Mishawaka to Damon and Peggy (Hesch) Woodworth.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Woodworth, on June 24, 1997.

Brent is survived by his father, Damon “Woody” Woodworth of Mishawaka; son Brett C. Woodworth of Mishawaka; and brother Brian “The Crippler” Woodworth.

Brent was employed by Conn Selmer/Vincent Bach in Elkhart for 20 years. He also worked for the Press Box in Mishawaka and for the South Bend Silver Hawks. Brent was a professional wrestling referee. He was often the referee at “The Clash at the Cove.”

He was a fan of the New York Yankees, NASCAR and professional wrestling. Brent was known for his bowling prowess. He was inducted into the St. Joseph Valley Bowling Hall of Fame in 2009.

He and his family have requested there be no public visitation or service. They ask that you remember Brent for his quick wit and zest for life.
