GOSHEN - Police said aggressive driving, and specifically speed, were factors in a one-car crash in Goshen Sunday morning that killed one man and injured another.

According to a report from the Goshen Police Department, Tyler Coburn, 21, of Goshen, was driving southeast on South Wheatland Drive Sunday morning. At 3:36 a.m., the vehicle went off the east side of the road, hitting a mailbox before running into a tree in front of 406 South Wheatland Drive.

Coburn was trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene.

A passenger, Tanner Pederson, 21, of Goshen, suffered leg injuries considered to be non-life-threatening and was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital for treatment.

Police do not believe alcohol or road conditions to have been factors in the crash. Further investigation into the crash continues.
