LAGRANGE — Phyllis L. Meyer, 94, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor, LaGrange.

She was born Oct. 3, 1918, in LaGrange to Orville J. and Lelia (Garlets) Nelson.

She was a 1937 LaGrange High School graduate.

She was a member of Sylvan Chapter 251 OES of LaGrange and a member of LaGrange Presbyterian Church.

On July 17, 1937, she married Allen A. Meyer in LaGrange. He preceded her in death June 28, 1992.

Surviving Phyllis are her two sisters, Goldie Hooley of LaGrange and Janice Smith of Carmel; a brother, Ralph (Betty) Nelson of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward N. Meyer, March 12, 1961; a sister, Oneita Nelson; and two brothers, Frazier and Thurlow Nelson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange. The Rev. Kenneth Weaver will officiate.

Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
