GOSHEN — Martha “Marty” Lillian Markham, 90, passed away of natural causes, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Greencroft.

She was born Dec. 7, 1922, in Goshen to the late George and Alma (Kistler) Burt. On Dec. 23, 1956, at Plymouth United Methodist Church in Goshen, she married Donald Arthur Markham.

He survives, along with two natural born children, Darlene (Steve) Gill of Taylors, S.C., and Dr. David (Rosanne) Markham of Goshen; one adopted son, Mark (Maria) Markham of Guam; and five grandchildren, Megan Gill, Samantha Markham, Weston Markham, Burt Markham and Marian Markham.

She was preceded in death by her parents and only sister, Margaret Ann “Dolly” Burt, who died April 15, 1932, at the age of 11.

Marty is a graduate of Goshen High School and worked at Penn Controls in Goshen.

There will be an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 507 Hawthorne Drive, Goshen, Dr. David and Rosanne’s residence.

Burial will be at Violett Cemetery at a later date.
