ELKHART — Edward Jones was ranked eighth on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work for 2013” list. Edward Jones also ranked third in the large company category and was the highest ranked financial firm.

This is the 14th time Edward Jones has been named to the list, including top 10 finishes for 10 years and consecutive number one rankings in 2002 and 2003. Edward Jones ranked second in 2009 and 2010 and fifth in 2012.

The company consists of 30,000 financial advisors, branch administrators and associates. Its high ranking was attributed to the “close-knit culture with regular regional gatherings for ice-skating, fishing tournaments, ice cream socials and other fun,” according to FORTUNE.
