SOUTH BEND — Early vendor booth request numbers have exceeded expectations for the 2013 Women’s Expo, set for 4 to 9 p.m. March 1 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 2 at Century Center, 120 S. St. Joseph St.

“Girls Night Out” is Friday night followed by “Family Fun Day” on Saturday. Both days will feature seminars, demonstrations, dancing, music, shopping and free health screenings.

The event kicks off National Women’s Day and Empowerment Week. Tickets cost $7 at the door or $5 for presale or with donation of books or a nonperishable food item. Children 10 and younger are free. For more information visit www.expoforwomen.org.
