Aug. 11, 1918 - Feb. 16, 2013

GOSHEN — Lucille H. Pyle, 94, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 16, 2013, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

She was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Jersey City, N.J., to Herman and Erna (Starck) Roth. In 1944 she married George H. Pyle in Lyndhurst, N.J.

She is survived by a daughter, Marna (William) Mateer of Goshen; a son, Harry (Fiona) Pyle of Bellevue, Wash.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

A graduate of Rider University, Trenton, N.J., Mrs. Pyle moved to Goshen in June, coming from Orrville, Ohio. She was affiliated with Oak Grove Mennonite Church, Smithville, Ohio.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano and taught piano.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
