Oct. 20, 1921 - Feb. 11, 2013

JACKSON, Mich. — Lillian L. Helmlinger, 91, of Jackson and formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, with her children by her side.

She was born Oct. 20, 1921, to the late Earl and Lillian (Hefley) Wolber in Dixon, Ill.

On Jan. 12, 1941, she married Richard A. Helmlinger. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1982.

She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife who enjoyed cardinals, ceramics, sewing, her yard and flower gardens.

Lillian is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Delio of Rantoul, Ill., and Connie (Dennis)) Herrschop of Osceola, Ind. Also surviving are her son, Raymond (Debbie) Helmlinger of Jackson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Dorothy (John) Hartman and Evelyn Ingram; her brothers, Edward (Marge) Wolber and John (Marilyn) Wolber; along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at First Christian Church of Mishawaka, 2511 E. Third St., Mishawaka.
