Jimtowns Crume, Penns Davis to wrestle for state titles

Crume earned his shot at a title by beating Connersville’s Tom Gettinger 5-1.
Davis advanced to the championship bout with a 3-0 win against East Noble’s Connor Knapp.
In first-round consolation action, Concord’s DeLawrence Gayfield (113) topped Evansville Reitz’s Damon Kuhn 10-6. Next up for Gayfield is the fifth/sixth place match against Perry Meridian’s Jacob Cottey.
Bloomington South’s Seth Seitzinger outlasted Elkhart Central’s Johnny Tredway (160) 8-6. Tredway will meet Indianapolis Cathedral’s Blake Rypel in the seventh/eighth place match.
Garrett’s Hayden Lee pinned Penn’s Drew Hildebrandt (106) in 1:37, sending Hildebrandt to the seventh/eighth place match.
Consolation finals are at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, with championship matches at 7:30 p.m.
