ELKHART — Colleen Mae Miller, 80, of Elkhart, passed away at 7:53 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born May 22, 1932, in Goshen to Edgar C. and Geneva E. (Doering) Smith.

On Feb. 8, 1951, in Battle Creek, Mich., she married Leroy F. Miller.

He survives along with two daughters, Linda Polachek and Nancy Shannon; one son, Dean Miller; and two grandchildren, Michael Polachek and Charles “Chip” Stout, all of Elkhart. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Jim and Dick Smith; and a sister, Betty Lambert.

Colleen retired from Miles, now Bayer, where she worked in the cafeteria.

Visitation for family and friends will be for two hours prior to the 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, funeral service at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Her grandson, Michael Polachek will preside. Entombment will follow in Rice Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
