July 15, 1932 - Feb. 10, 2013

GOSHEN — Isabelle A. “Issy” Floor, 80, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at her home.

She was born July 15, 1932, in Claypool, to Alfred and Iva (Perry) Nelson. She married Freddie D. Floor on July 29, 1951. He died on April 5, 2005.

Surviving are two daughters, Christy (Edward) Ramsey of Bristol and Cheryl Wesselhoft (fiancée Scott Hamilton) of Middlebury; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Oliver “Lindy” (Sandra) Nelson of Elkhart and Paul Nelson of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Issy graduated from Laketon High School in 1950 and retired from Sam’s Club after 11 years as a food demo lady and had previously worked for Miles Laboratories in the cafeteria and for DeBoni’s Bakery for 25 years. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and baking. She loved being with her friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, and an hour prior to the noon service on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Calvary United Methodist Church, Elkhart. Pastor Laurence Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
