April 7, 1928 - Feb. 8, 2013

GOSHEN — Nellie L. Hite, 84, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 8, 2013, at Courtyard Healthcare, where she had been a resident since July.

She was born April 7, 1928, in Elkhart County to John and Ethel (Routson) Hite.

She is survived by three sisters, Cecil Ortiz of Aibonito, Puerto Rico; June (Donald) Knisley of Goshen; and Dorothy Fry of Peoria, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Elliott.

She was a 1947 graduate of New Paris High School. Ms. Hite retired from Essex Wire. She enjoyed watching sports on television, especially golf and Colts football.

Friends may call for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Lenny Krebs, Benton Free Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
