Car goes out of control on black ice; Goshen woman injured

GOSHEN — A woman was injured after her vehicle hit a patch of black ice and ran into a guardrail on S.R. 15 early Sunday morning, Feb. 10.

According to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Kristine Rolston, 64, of Goshen, was headed south on S.R. 15, north of C.R. 26, at 6:49 a.m. when she says she hit a patch of black ice.

Rolston’s vehicle went off the west side of the road and hit a guardrail.

Rolston was then taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital complaining of back pain.

No citations were issued at the scene.
