Car flips northeast of Wakarusa; driver hospitalized

According to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Audrey Grimes, 63, was headed south on C.R. 9 nearing C.R. 36 at 8:36 a.m. Sunday.
Grimes’ vehicle hit a patch of ice and ran off the west side of the road, rolling at least once. Grimes had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to Elkhart General to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
No citations were issued at the scene.
