GOSHEN — Charles and Sandra (Chapman) Cheek are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

The couple wed Feb. 14, 1963, in Aleppo, Pa.

Friends and family may visit with the couple at their open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Grace Community Church, 20076 C.R. 36, Goshen.

Mr. Cheek is a Grace College graduate and is retired from teaching at Goshen Middle School. He also coached football, wrestling and track and officiated baseball, football and wrestling. He is on the board of Faith Mission in Elkhart and is president emeritus of Celebrate America. He is in his third term as Elkhart Township Trustee. Mrs. Cheek is a homemaker and has been a Tupperware consultant for 45 years. She works in the office of the Elkhart Township Trustee. She enjoys playing the piano and organ.

They have a son, Joe (Kari) of Norcross, Ga. They have six grandchildren: Brittany, Trevor and Jessica Cheek and Brandon, Kyle and Rebecca Grace Buis. They also have one great-grandchild, AnnaBelle Cheek.
