BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Ronald Lee and Patricia Ann (Slough) Tungett are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

They were married Feb. 23, 1963, at San Diego.

The couple is celebrating with trip to and through Alaska, planned for mid-summer.

Mr. Tungett is retired after 40 years as an information system manager with companies in northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965. He currently keeps busy as a security guard at the Berrien County Health Department. Mrs. Tungett was a medical technologist at South Bend Medical Foundation from 1964 to 1979, Lakeland from 1979 to 1994 and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center from 1994 to 2001.

They are members of United Methodist Church of Stevensville and have served in many Masonic organizations throughout Indiana and Michigan.

Their children are Diane (Michael) Chupp of Elkhart, Ind. and Timothy (Robbin) Tungett of Jacksonville, Fla.

Their grandchildren are Nathan and Cory Chupp and Julian Tungett.
