ELKHART — Four generations of Marilyn Bates’ family recently posed for a photo at her birthday party.

Pictured are (from left) Marilyn’s granddaughter Lindsay Lucchese holding great-granddaughter Mia Gabrielle Lucchese (3-weeks-old), daughter Wendy Matz, Marilyn Bates and granddaughter Chelsey Smith, holding great-granddaughter Kalianna Lynn Smith. Chelsey and Lindsay, Wendy’s daughters, were due on the same day but Lindsay had Mia a week early and Chelsey had Kalianna a week late. Both girls were born on Fridays two weeks apart.
