FRESNO, Calif. — Richard Joseph Nemeth, 66, of Fresno and formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away Jan. 28, 2013, at Veterans Administration Hospital.

Richard was born March 20, 1946, in South Bend to the late Joseph and Mary (Lothamar) Nemeth.

Dick graduated from Washington High School in 1964. Dick then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he honorably served from 1966-72.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph III (Maryssa) and Richard (Nicole), both of Goshen, Ind.; stepson Matthew (Gabrielle) Gayer of Elkhart, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and siblings Bob (Linda) Nemeth, Bill Nemeth, Nancy DeVan and Mary Helen Nemeth.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Nemeth.

The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, memorial service at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Ind.

Mr. Nemeth was employed as a transport dispatcher for Classic Transport and Horizon Transport for several years.
