ELKHART — A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will move into northern Indiana late Wednesday night, Feb. 6, and into Thursday morning.

Accuweather.com reports that a snowstorm moving southeast over the Great Lakes Wednesday and Thursday, bringing heavy snow that will most likely stay to the north of the Michigan/Indiana border.

While accumulation from the storm in Elkhart County should be less than an inch, sleet and freezing rain could make the Thursday morning commute slippery.

The worst of the storm will hit in eastern Wisconsin, Michigan and the East Coast, where it has the potential to disrupt airline traffic, Accuweather reports.
