SOUTH BEND — Orison Glen “Ken” Kennedy Jr., 60, of South Bend, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.

He was born in Bryn Mawr, Pa., in 1952, to the late Orison G. and Betty J. (Ash) Kennedy.

Orison is survived by his wife, Karen Kennedy; two daughters, Kristina Ash (Richard) Bridenstein of Elkhart and Karolyn (Grant) Osborn and grandson Gael; son Everett Kennedy; sister Dr. Katherine (Robert Hernbon) Kennedy; and niece Mary Elizabeth Hernbon, all of Vienna, Va.

Ken attended Salem College, Salem W.Va., where he was a member of the golf team. He graduated from the University of West Virginia and continued graduate work at Furman University in South Carolina.

Ken spent his career in the van conversion industry as an owner and in sales.

A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, with visitation one hour prior at McGann Hay Funerals, Cremations, Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 S.R. 23. Enter off of Cherry Road.
