ELKHART — Several people were transported to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on C.R. 20 between C.R. 111 and C.R. 11 under the U.S. 20 Bypass.

A dark gray pickup truck and light gold minivan collided under the bridge just after 2:30 p.m., according to Elkhart County 911 dispatchers.

The driver of the pickup truck was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency crews.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Elkhart Police Department, Concord Fire Department and Baugo Fire Department all responded to the accident.

C.R. 20 was closed to traffic in both directions while crews cleaned up the scene.
