The concert features four guest artists in addition to a special presentation based on the book “Moses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom” by Carole Boston Weatherford performed by the South Bend Symphonic Choir, IU South Bend Gospel Choir and members of the IU South Bend Theatre Company.
The guest artists are Fred Dade, piano; Timothy Holley, cello; David Hughey, baritone; and Deb Nansteel, mezzo-soprano.
Author Carole Boston Weatherford will visit campus in March for a formal presentation and a book signing. David Hughey will give a symposium entitled “From Classical to Broadway” at noon Feb. 22 at Northside’s Recital Hall. No tickets are required for the symposium; free to the public. Tickets to the concert are $3, free to students and children.
