Warm temps, rain will give way quickly to cold and more snow

ELKHART — Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan may see some snow tonight, Jan. 30, heading into Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service reports the areas expecting snow may see accumulations of one to two inches by Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the temperature will plummet from the mid-50s this morning to a high of 19 degrees Thursday. By 4 p.m. today, temperature will be in the mid 30s.

Lake effect snow will continue over southwest Michigan and northwest Indiana through Friday. More accumulations of two to five inches are possible, according to the NWS.
