GHS senior organizing event for young women interested in business
Emily Halley decided to create her own event because of “the lack of available resources or mentors for women interested in business,” she said. Halley aspires to be a marketing analyst.
Halley is working with the Goshen Chamber of Commerce and planning for a four-hour program March 16, including lectures from local businesswomen and likely a luncheon focused on proper etiquette. Lectures will look at marketing, international business management, professionalism and other topics, she said.
Halley contacted five area schools asking for recommendations on students to invite to the program and has 30 high school students signed up to attend.
Other local high school students interested in attending or groups interested in helping sponsor the event can also contact Halley at 533-2258 or emilyhalley95@gmail.com.
