JIMTOWN — Two teenagers were transported to a local hospital Friday afternoon after the vehicle they were riding in slid off the road and struck a tree.

A 16-year-old male was driving northwest on C.R. 22 in Baugo Township around 2:15 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.

The driver and his 16-year-old female passenger were taken to the hospital.

Dispatch radio traffic indicated that the driver suffered a partially amputated ear and the passenger was complaining of arm and head pain.
