About an inch of snow, and in some areas two inches, is expected to accumulate today through the afternoon.
Lake-effect snow showers will continue tonight, with additional snow accumulations of one to three inches possible by early Saturday morning, and then again on Sunday evening, according to the NWS.
Snow and a wintry mix will stretch over a broad area, with the next storm from the Midwest to the interior South to the end of the week, according to Accuweather. The snow will be dry and powdery in many areas, meaning a small amount of moisture can lead to a moderate amount of snow.
Temperatures next week are expected to go up, according to the NWS. Monday’s high is expected to be around 42 degrees, while Tuesday’s high is expected to be 49 degrees.
