ELKHART — The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Friday afternoon robbery at Elkhart Cigarette Outlet.

Two white males entered the store at 51505 S.R. 19 around 2:15 p.m. Friday and demanded money from the cashier, said the sheriff’s department in a news release.

The men placed an undisclosed amount of cash, several cartons of cigarettes and other items from the store into a black trash bag, ordered the cashier to the floor and left the scene.

Witnesses could not describe the vehicle or in which direction the suspects fled.

They may have had a stun gun but it was not seen during the incident, police said.

The suspects are both about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weigh between 160 and 170 pounds. They were wearing black hoodies, light colored pants and had blue or black bandanas covering their faces.
