FORT WAYNE — Bishop John M. D’Arcy has returned home to the Diocese of Fort Wayne - South Bend and is grateful for the prayers of the diocese that have been directed towards him.

“They are an enormous consolation,” D’Arcy said in a statement released Thursday.

“Pray that my ‘yes’ to Go and His Will be full and whole-hearted and never begrudging, but a strong ‘yes,’” he added.

D’Arcy asked for prayers from the diocese early in the month has he began cancer treatment in Bright, Mass., the hospital in which he was born.
