LAGRANGE — Wanetia Katie Eash, 81, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Life Care Center of LaGrange.

She was born March 9, 1931, in LaGrange County to Jacob J.M. and Katie D. (Christner) Miller. On Nov. 22, 1951, she married Freeman D. Eash in LaGrange County. He died on June 23, 1990.

Surviving are children Kathryn (Daniel) Hostetler of Shipshewana, Loretta Johnson of Mishawaka, Wilbur Lee Eash of Holland, Mich., Jerry W. (Mary) Eash of Wawaka, Orla F. (Elma) Eash of LaGrange, Lloyd F. Eash of Shipshewana and Homer F. (Rose) Eash of Shipshewana; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and siblings Edna Ellen Miller of Middlebury and Obie J. Miller and Amcie Miller, both of Goshen.

Preceding her in death were daughter Mary Alice Eash on March 8, 2000, three sisters and five brothers.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, Jan. 24, and all day Friday, Jan. 25, at Orla F. Eash’s residence, 4105 S - 300 W, LaGrange. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Ora Bontrager’s residence, 8255 W - 100 S, Shipshewana. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.
