GOSHEN — New weight restriction signs will soon be posted on a pair of bridges in Elkhart County.

The bridge on C.R. 43 about a half-mile south of U.S. 6 in the southern part of the county will have a 15-ton weight limit, and the bridge on C.R. 3 just south of C.R. 22 southwest of Elkhart will have a 13-ton weight limit. The recommendations to set maximum weights for the structures came as a result of annual bridge inspections, according to county highway manager Jeff Taylor.
