GOSHEN — The Elkhart County Highway Department has set a tentative date to auction off more than a dozen pieces of underused equipment, including an asphalt roller, towable air compressors and chippers among others.

Hahn Realty and Auction will likely sell 16 pieces of road maintenance equipment on site and online on March 5, county highway manager Jeff Taylor said, adding that the date is not set in stone. The auctioneers will advertise the sale and take 10 percent commission, he said.
