ELKHART — Elkhart County could see warmer temperatures next week, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to pack away the parka.

The National Weather Service forecasts a high temperature of 35 degrees for Jan. 28, but the rest of this week will remain cold with some wind chills below zero.

Wednesday could see a high of 10 degrees, but harsh winds will make it feel like -10 degrees. There could be some light snow showers in the afternoon, but little to no accumulation will stick around.

Winds will die down on Thursday and temperatures should feel close to the predicted high of 21 degrees.

Light snow will return again on Friday morning with a high near 24 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the low- to mid-20s.
