ELKHART — Mikhail D. Kononenko, 66, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at IU Health Hospital in Goshen.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1946, in Kharkov, Ukraine to the late Dmitriy and Natalia Kononenko.

He married Liliya Domriceheva on Nov. 17, 1991, in Ukraine.

He worked at Nautic Group, former Godfrey Marine. He came to the U.S. in January of 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Liliya Kononenko and his son, Dmitriy Kononenko, both of Elkhart.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, with one hour of calling prior to the service, at Waterman Westbrook Clouse Funeral Home. Pastor Victor Kidun of Slavic Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will take place in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Goshen.

He was a member of Slavic Baptist Church.
