We would like to send a big thank-you to the gentleman with the young boy who was dining at IHOP on the night of Dec. 18. They sat in the booth next to us, but neither one of us recognized them. We were also at the cashier at the same time but did not really notice them in front of us.

When we attempted to pay our bills, the cashier said, “Merry Christmas! They are already taken care of.” When we asked how, we were told the gentleman and his son in front of us paid for us. What an unexpected and appreciated surprise!

Even though evil acts are committed in this world (Newtown), this young man was setting a wonderful example of character and compassion for his young son.

Thank you again for your kindness. There truly are Christmas angels among us and we will pay this forward.
