WOLCOTTVILLE — Carl W. Dabler Sr., 84, of Westler Lake, died Jan. 3, 2013, at his daughter’s home in Eldersburg, Md.

Carl was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Hardin County, Ohio, to Henry J. and Ilo (Crowe) Dabler.

He married Evelyn M. Ferrall on Oct. 20, 1951, in Edgefield, S.C. She preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 1994.

Surviving are his daughter, Patricia (Gregory) Madison of Eldersburg; grandchildren Danielle Nicole Dabler and Zachary Wayne, Megan Elizabeth and Johnathon Christoper Madison; and siblings Mary Stephens of Utah and Leigh Allen Dabler of California.

His two sons, Carl Jr. and Gregory Wayne, preceded him in death, both in 1994.

Visitation will be for two hours prior to the 11 a.m. Jan. 21, 2013, memorial service at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.

Additionally there will be celebration open house at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at American Legion Post 215, LaGrange, to honor and reminisce about Carl’s life.
