The Elkhart County Democratic Party and Obama for Elkhart County 2012 will host a celebration to mark the inauguration of President Obama to his second term.

The event, open to the public, is set for Monday, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held at the Teamsters Union hall in the Dunlap area, just south of Concord Mall and north of Meijer’s on the east side of U.S. 33.

The celebration is also meant to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Activities will be centered around Obama’s swearing-in ceremony and celebrating the works of King.

“This will be a carry in lunch so bring a dish to share with friends and meet some new people,” according to a press release from local Democrats. Coffee, tea and water will be provided.
