Goshen council postpones redistricting vote until February
With multiple proposals in hand, the council chose to postpone a vote in order to reach a better understanding of the plans.
The postponement continues a discussion begun in December, when the council first broached the subject at a public meeting.
Several counter-proposals have been made since then, but Mayor Allan Kauffman has said that proposals should be considered only if they fall under the 16.44 percent population deviation that would be established by the legal department’s original proposal.
