PLYMOUTH — Audrey Bowlby Reed, 97, passed away at her daughter’s home early Sunday morning, Jan. 13, 2013. She had been ill the past two weeks.

She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Norwalk, Ohio, to Alexander and Abigail (Long) Spratt. She married Robert Bowlby on Oct. 1, 1937, in Elkhart. He died Sept. 26, 1985. She married George Reed on Jan. 11, 1989, in Hawaii. He died March 8, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Raymond) Gamble of Elkhart and Sharon (James) Carnes of Plymouth; a son, Robert II (Marsha Reed) Bowlby of Safety Harbor, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Karen Johnson of Safety Harbor; 13 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was a 1934 graduate of Millersburg High School. Audrey was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Eastern Star.

Following cremation, a private burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
