Vice President Joe Biden just announced to the “Weekly Standard” that President Obama is considering an executive order to get control of the gun violence situation.

There is no gun violence! The only gun I ever owned (for protection from snakes and other natural dangers while a missionary in West Africa) was a well behaved .410 shotgun, residing quietly in its case. Until my wife or I picked it up, loaded it and pulled the trigger, it never fired a shot. Every gun is the same. Guns take on violent characteristics only when used by violent people.

Vice President Biden, President Obama and many other leaders in government are protected wherever they go, 24/7, by dozens of gun-carrying people — people with specialized training in how to use their gun violently. Our president is not a dictator with power to continue shredding our Constitution by this kind of executive order. If he does, then our senators, representatives and judiciary need to do their jobs and stop him.
