HAWKINSVILLE, Ga. — Paul Raymond Bennett, 78, of Hawkinsville, Ga., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Ga.

Paul was a 1953 graduate of Mishawaka (Ind.) High School and retired from the U. S. Air Force as a chief master sergeant after 42 years of service. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose and was the voice of the Swap Shop on Sunny 103 FM Hawkinsville and Warner Robins. When he lived in Edwardsburg, Mich., he was a scout master of BSA Troop 239.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne Harris-Bennett; sons Paul Anthony (Lois Ileta) Bennett and Christopher Patrick (Regina Elaine) Bennett of Edwardsburg; sister-in-law Lucille “Mert” Pyclik-Bennett; grandchildren Jason Lee (May) Bennett, Patrick Christopher (Stephanie) Bennett, Daniel Paul (Lynette) Bennett, Joshua Austin (Amy) Bennett, Brandon Wesley Bennett and Wendy Ileta Bennett-Vining; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles Andrew Jackson Bennett Sr. and Estella Mae (Jackson), and siblings Charlene Nelson, Charles Andrew Jackson Bennett Jr., Geraldine Nusbaum and Wendal Earl Bennett.
