They were married Feb. 1, 1963, in Nappanee.
They will be celebrating with their close family.
Mr. Kitts is retired from Bayer. Mrs. Kitts is a retired beautician who owned her own beauty shop, Fountain of Beauty, for 25 years.
Their children are Bruce (Anne) Kitts of South Bend, Laurie Howard of Middlebury and Lisa (Ryan) Miller of Elkhart.
They have eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Ed and Sandy enjoy spending time with their family and friends. They have spent the last 20 years going to Florida during the month of January. They enjoy traveling with their children and grandchildren. They especially like to cheer on their grandchildren at their sporting events.
