They were married Jan. 19, 1963, in Nappanee.
The couple is celebrating at an open house in their honor with family and friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the American Legion in Nappanee.
Mr. Hockert is a retired engineering manager. Mrs. Hockert is a housewife.
Their children are Tad (Deb) Hockert of Goshen, Lynli Hockert of Nappanee and Matt Hockert of Nappanee.
Their grandchildren are Rebecca Grall, Roxanne Schwenk, Jared Hockert, Brenna Hockert, Kassidy Hockert, Parker Hockert and Mattie Hockert.
They have five great-grandchildren.
