ELKHART COUNTY — One person was taken to the hospital following a three-car crash on C.R. 13, south of C.R. 18, Friday afternoon.

According to Cpl. Mike Bennett of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, one vehicle was turning north onto C.R. 13 off of Wilshire Boulevard when it hit the rear of another vehicle, sending both into a spin.

Bennett said the first vehicle hit a third vehicle, which was also heading north.

The driver of the third vehicle was taken to Elkhart General Hospital complaining of chest pain, according to Bennett.

The driver of the first car, Sarah Marker, 20, of Elkhart, was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
