Man taken to hospital following Elkhart crash

A man driving a gray car south on Third Street between Marion and Harrison was turning left into the Elkhart License Branch parking lot when he hit a mo-ped with two men who were driving on the left lane trying to pass the car, said Lt. Dan Colson with the Elkhart Police Department.
The two men rolled off the mo-ped, said the passenger of the mo-ped, who said he did not want to disclose his name. He had scrapes on his hands from the fall, but he said he was fine.
The man driving the mo-ped was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The moped received minor damage to the front and side.
