Elkhart County GOP club hosting seminars for candidates

ELKHART — The Greater Elkhart County Pachyderm Club is holding seminars for conservative would-be candidates for office, starting Jan. 16.

“Topics to be touched on include candidate and electoral evaluation, the issues, handling aggressive interviewers, fundraising and budgeting and campaign organization and strategy,” said a press release from the club, associated with the Republican Party.

The first session, to be held at the Elks Lodge at 116 W. Bristol St., Elkhart, will be Jan. 16 with socializing and buffet dining at 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Elkhart County Clerk Wendy Hudson will be the featured speaker, providing a rundown of the services her office provides for candidates.

Subsequent meetings will be held every third Wednesday of the month. Call Barb at 214-9921 to make a reservation.
