Register now for Emergency Medical Training course in Goshen

Elkhart General Hospital Emergency Medical Services will offer an Emergency Medical Training course from 6 to 10 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday beginning Feb. 12 through Aug. 22 at Elkhart General Health Education Center, 2222 Rieth Boulevard. The EMT class teaches the concepts, information and skills needed to safely assess and treat patients in pre-hospital emergency situations. Training includes classroom instruction as well as clinical rotations in the EGH Emergency Department and on an emergency ambulance. Students must have a high school diploma or GED, hepatitis vaccination, MMR vaccination, varicella immunity, tetanus immunization within the past 10 years, recent tuberculosis test, valid Healthcare Provider Level CPR card and be at least 18 years of age. Tuition is $825.00 and includes textbook, workbook and clinical supplies. A $300 down payment is due the first night of class. Register by Jan. 15. To register visit www.egh.org or call 875-6430.
