INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana House Page Program is accepting student applicants for the 2013 session.

State Rep. Wes Culver (R-Goshen) is extending the opportunity to area students 13 to 18-years-old to take part in the program. Pages will experience a full day at the Statehouse where they will assist staff members, attend floor sessions and committee meetings and tour locations such as the governor’s office, the Indiana Supreme Court and more.

“This is a great opportunity for any student who is interested in how state government operates and who wants to get a unique, hands-on experience,” Culver said.

Participants receive an excused absence from school and are required to arrange their own transportation to and from Indianapolis. Space in the program is limited and students are encouraged to apply quickly.

Applicants are asked to provide two dates from January through April that they would be able to attend. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best. There are no pages on Fridays.
