ELKHART — Brittany Steele and Tylor Saunders were married Sept. 22, 2012, at Jamestown United Methodist Church by the Rev. Paul Rogers.

The bride’s parents are Roger Steele of Elkhart and Pam (Bill) Jackson of Huntertown. The groom’s parents are Ray and Deb Saunders of Elkhart.

Amber Campbell and Michelle Steele, the bride’s sisters, were maids of honor.

Josh Maygar was the best man.

The bride wore the wedding ring of her late grandfather laced up in her wedding dress. She also wore rings from both of her grandmothers as her “something old.” Two candles were lit as part of a unity lighting in memory of the bride’s grandfather and the groom’s grandmother.

The reception was held at McNaughton Park.

The couple met on Dec. 26, 2009, at Mr. G’s in Osceola. He secretly flew to Florida while she was attending annual training for the Navy Reserves to surprise her with the engagement on Aug. 21, 2011.
